WELCOME TO
THE  NORTHUMBRIAN ASSOCIATION

STRENGTH FROM THE PAST - VISION FOR THE FUTURE

We are passionate about Northumbria-North East England.

We seek to promote and celebrate the Heritage and Culture of our great region.

Every year we organise a walk to celebrate Saint Cuthbert’s Day, March 20th. Our walk from Chester-le-Street to Durham Cathedral was held on 19th March this year and we welcomed walkers from across the region; see the updated news entry for a some thoughts on the walk.

If you visit Durham cathedral you can see the splendid Saint Cuthbert’s banner we commissioned from local designers and craftsmen.

You can read of the amazing work of Northumbrians young and old at Awards-Writers.

As part of our celebration of what is good about the region we have the annual Hotspur Award. Why not propose a person or organisation for the Award?

If you are interested in our annual walk you can download a Cuddy’s Corse leaflet and map. It would be great to see you on the walk next year.

Keep an eye out for news of new developments in the Association as we look to build upon our past success. 2016 should prove to be an exciting year.

We are a registered Charity run by local volunteers.
If you are passionate about Northumbria then why not give us your support - join us.
